AL – CLEANING FURNACE WALLS

Very important the proper maintenance of melting furnace walls.

Dross formation and adhesion to furnace walls strongly limits thermal Exchange, reduces furnace capacity and is responsible for inclusions in metal and casts.

AL – COVERING-DROSSING-DEOXIDIZING FLUXES FOR ALUMINIUM AND ITS ALLOYS AL MG<1%, AL SI 7-13%

Molten Aluminium alloys are subject to oxidation, therefore metal has to be protected during melting cycle by proper fluxes, to avoid hydrogen absorption from ambient atmosphere.

During the process, using proper fluxes, mixed with molten metal, allow to eliminate oxides inside molten metal, to improve metallurgical properties.

Drossing fluxes allow to eliminate oxides and dross, created during melting and previous treatments.

Metallurgical treatment improves mechanical properties of the alloy, allow for inclusion free casts, reduces metal inside dross, avoid oxidation during holding time.

AL – DEGASSING AND DEOXIDIZING FLUXES FOR ALUMINIUM AND ITS ALLOYS

Molten Aluminium alloys are subject to oxidation and hydrogen absorption during melting process.

Proper use of fluxes during process, mixed with molten metal, allow to get rid of gasses inside molten metal.

Proper degassing treatment allows to obtain alloy and casts free from pinholes and porosity.

FOUNDRY DEG tablets. Products to remove gas and oxides from the alloy. Tablets can be immersed in molten metal manually via proper hollow tool or self sinking.

FOUNDRY DX cans series(patented system). Aluminium cans containing degassing and deoxidizing flux. Added manually or via MDCD / ADCD degassing units.

AL – GRAIN REFINING FLUXES FOR ALUMINIUM AND ITS ALLOYS

High quality grain refining fluxes for Aluminium and alloys, including Mg>1% alloys. Refining action of Ti and B elements allows to obtain a finer cooling structure, improving mechanical properties of the alloy.
Can be used to treat sand, gravity or low pressure casting alloys.
Proper refining treatment allows to improve mechanical properties, elongation and resistance of the alloy, together with self feeding of the cast and surface finishing.

FOUNDRY AFF tablets series

Ti-B, B, P based products. Tablets can be added to molten metal manually via proper hollow tool or can be self sinking.

ECOSAL granulated fluxes series

Ti-B based products. Added manually or via LAMPI flux injector.

AL – MODIFYING FLUXES AND PRODUCT RELEASING NA, AL-SI 7-12%

Modifying treatment is the last to perform on the alloys before casting. Structural modification of Silicon allows to improve mechanical properties of the alloys, including tensile strength and elongation, enhancing flow characteristics.

Modifying treatment reduces scrapping of casts due to cracks and porosity.

Powder fluxes to modify Al Si alloys, 7-12 % Silicon. Added manually.

FOUNDRY MOD/T tablets series

Tablets to modify Al Si alloys 7-12 % Silicon. Tablets can be added to molten metal manually via proper hollow tool.

AL – SPECIAL PRODUCTS TO ELIMINATE DETRIMENTAL ELEMENTS

Aluminium alloys contain some detrimental elements depending on the application such as Sodium, Calcium, Lithium, Magnesium, Strontium or Titanium.

Elimination of these elements is required when excess content causes structural modification or exceeds norms specification for the alloy.

AL- MASTER ALLOYS AND TABLETS

During the melting process of Aluminium and its alloys there is the need to adjust some elements content percentage.

Addition of these elements is required to keep the alloy structure or to achieve norms parameters.
